I joined the former Warrington circuit in 2006 after spending nine years in Derbyshire. I have now served over 20 years of presbyteral ministry in the Methodist church, having served as a lay worker in Sheffield before ministerial training. I was at Cliff College in 1991 and 1992. I began preaching in 1983 at Hazel Grove Methodist Church. Before entering the ministry, I worked as a Senior Mechanical and Electrical engineer in the construction industry. I have significant interest in how we use our church premises, and how we may adapt or rebuild to meet this present age. I also am I bit of a technie, and am more than happy to consider how we use technology in the life of the Church (I was part of the Easter People Tech team for some 10 years).

I have been married for over 25 years to my best friend Jane, we have a daughter Naomi who loves to sing, and a son Jacob who is an apprentice mechanic at GT Cars. In my free time, I enjoy watching films, motorcycling, motorsport in general, and doing TrMark Colesack Days in a race prepared Ford Puma my son and I built.

Having trained for diaconal ministry at St Johns College, Durham, I spent my first appointment in the Camborne-Redruth Circuit in Cornwall, fulfilling a number of roles including secondary school Chaplain, Coordinator of Street Pastors, and minister beyond the walls of the churches.  I am a deacon through and through, and am passionate about the calling I have to support the weak, bind up the broken, gather the outcast, welcome the stranger and seek the lost. I look to work with those around me, encouraging, empowering and enabling them to engage with those who need to hear the Gospel of hope through actions and words.

I recently married Tim and we have eight adult children between us.

I love spending time with family and friends, reading, walking, going to the theatre, watching films and visiting new places. I have much to explore in this new area of the country and look forward to seeing how God develops the work that I am called to here.
